Health Central Implants its First AICD

OCOEE — On May 30, Peter Taylor, M.D. performed the first implant of an automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator or AICD at Health Central medical center, and has implanted several others since his initial case. This represents great news for our community since patients had to be transported to other hospitals in order to have this surgery done. The enhancement of cardiac services demonstrates the commitment from our physicians and Health Central medical center to bring the latest technologies and treatment options to our community.
