The hospital has signed a multi-year agreement as the exclusive title sponsor of the Grandview Invitational draft show horse events.

AdventHealth Ocala leadership announced a multi-year deal as the exclusive title sponsor of the elite international draft hitch show, Grandview Invitational. The announcement took place Tuesday, November 26 at 10 a.m. at the hospital located at 1500 SW 1st Ave, Ocala, FL 34471. The hospital leadership, Grandview Invitational, Florida State Senators Keith Perry and Dennis Baxley, Marion County and City of Ocala officials welcomed pediatric rehab patients as they spent time with a world class Clydesdale at the hospital to kick off the partnership.

“We’re excited to partner with Grandview Invitational as we join the rich and storied history of the prestigious horse farms in Marion County,” said Joe Johnson, President and CEO of AdventHealth Ocala. “We are more than a hospital and this sponsorship is part of our commitment to make investments in this community and to build partnerships that allow us to welcome thousands from around the world to experience all we have to offer in Ocala.”

The 2020 AdventHealth Grandview Invitational kicks off the season in Ocala on January 31 – February 2 and begins touring nationwide immediately following. The AdventHealth Grandview Invitational will offer a unique showing of these world renown horses close to home.

Grandview Invitational is very excited and honored to be partnering with AdventHealth,” said Karen Cobbs, Grandview Invitational. “We look forward to working with everyone, and we are very excited for the future of the AdventHealth Grandview Invitational.”

Earlier this year, AdventHealth Ocala donated the newest horse, Marion, to be added to the Marion County Horse Fever collection as a part of the county’s 175th Anniversary Celebration where it remains on permanent display for the public. The horses represent the county’s cultural growth and community partnerships over the years.
