Florida Hospital to Offer the First Radiology Residency Program in Central Florida

Florida Hospital is continuing to establish Orlando as a leading medical destination by offering the first diagnostic-radiology residency program in Central Florida beginning in 2012.  The hospital has the ability to offer a radiology educational experience due to the hospital’s large volume in imaging studies, high faculty-to-resident ratio, subspecialty training and advanced technology.

Residents will be trained with the latest in CT, MRI, PET-CT, digital mammography and other technologies. The four-year program will be located at Florida Hospital Orlando and will accept four residents per year. In addition to the residents, medical students from the regions’ medical schools, including the new UCF College of Medicine, will have an opportunity to rotate through the program.
