Lake Sumter Medical Society is pleased to welcome Dr. Steven West, FMA President, to their next membership meeting on June 25, 6:30pm, at the Lakeside Inn in downtown Mount Dora. Thanks to Dr. West, advocacy and organized medicine are key issues for the FMA, and his alert and insightful view of the state of medicine will be the topic for this meeting. Much to everyone's delight, the 1^st Annual Docs CARE Golf Tournament was a resounding success. LSMS and We Care of Lake County shared in the effort and will share the proceeds of this new event. Sixty golfers and 15 sponsors enjoyed a warm afternoon at the challenging Mission Inn Los Colinas golf course. Lake Sumter Medical Society and We Care of Lake County are both grateful to our players and supporters, and are already planning next year's event.
