51st Annual Tomoka Regional Science and Engineering Fair Showcases Promising Young Scientists and Engineers

The VCMS recognized two young scholars for their projects in the Biomedical and Health Services category. Each received a check for $250, an award certificate, and each will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Stethoscope.

Isabella Chase (daughter of Kathleen Williams, MD, Colon Rectal Surgery Associates), earned top honors in the Junior Division Environmental Engineering category and will be taking her project to the state competition, March 27 - 29, in Lakeland, FL. Ms. Chase also earned her place in the Broadcom MASTERS, founded and produced by the Society for Science & the Public, the nation's most prestigious middle school STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) competition. Congratulations Isabella!
