Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce Selects New President/CEO

The Board of Directors for the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce have announced their selection of Donald R. Long to serve as their first President/CEO. The Board appointed Long to this new position where he will assist with the Chamber's continuing growth and efforts to support businesses, organizations and residents of the Lake Nona Region.

According to chamber sources, Long's appointment is largely based on his experience as a business owner and his community involvement in and around the Central Florida area. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce. In Osceola County, he also served as Chairman of the Board and acting President/CEO of the St. Cloud chamber in 2012-2013. According to Long he watched the Lake Nona Region become a significant influencer in Central Florida and is, "excited for the opportunity to work with the entire area in bringing smart growth and prosperity to the area and the chamber of commerce members".

Long also served as a U.S. Marine for more than 27 years and holds a Business Management Degree from the University of Phoenix where he was an honor graduate.

The Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization of owners, managers and employees of businesses and organizations doing business in the Lake Nona Region. The Chamber advances and protects the general welfare and prosperity of the Lake Nona Region by promoting and assisting the commercial, industrial and civic interests of the community.
