The Orange County Commission proclaims December 4, "Orlando Health Centennial Day." The proclamation, which is scheduled to occur at 1:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers, is in recognition of the healthcare system's 100 years of caring for the community.

The healthcare network operates five hospitals in Orange County; Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital and Orlando Health - Health Central Hospital.

Founded as Orange General Hospital, November 5, 1918, in 1946, the name was changed to Orange Memorial Hospital to honor the men and women who served in World War II. The Orlando Regional Medical Center moniker was introduced in 1977 with the consolidation of Orange Memorial Hospital and Holiday Hospital, a facility located a couple of blocks away. In 1989, a portion of Holiday Hospital was remodeled and an adjoining building was constructed to create what is now Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The healthcare network adopted the Orlando Health brand name in 2008.
