In an effort to help the community prepare to reopen, Orlando Health has launched a Business Ready resource website for businesses and organizations as they prepare to resume business.

“There is a lot of uncertainty and questions about how to best implement proper hygiene practices for businesses as they prepare to reopen,” said Don Plumley, MD, Chief Quality Officer at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. “Our goal with these resources is to provide our community with the right tools and information to move forward and resume activities safely.

The website’s resources will provide clear guidance on best practices on several topics including effective handwashing, safely putting on and taking off a mask, properly sanitizing surfaces and objects, how to self-screen for illness and incorporating effective social distancing. Content on the Business Ready website will offer this information in the form of videos and PDFs that are available in both English and Spanish. The availability of these resources will help businesses provide a safer environment for their customers and employees while allowing the community to confidently resume public activities.

“Proper hygiene and social distancing measures will continue to play an important part in reducing the spread of COVID-19,” said Thibaut van Marcke, Senior Vice President of Orlando Health and President of Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. “As a healthcare leader in our community, it’s important for us to do our part in educating the public on how to stay healthy and safe as we begin to move forward.”

Businesses and organizations will be able to access the free resources on May 1 at OrlandoHealth.com/BusinessReady.
