HCA Healthcare’s North Florida Division – Orlando Market has expanded its physician specialty coverage in Greater Orlando with the addition of a new dermatology practice offering telehealth appointments. Joanna McGetrick, M.D., of Premier Dermatology of Lake Nona, provides comprehensive medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology care for all ages, including pediatric care.

“While many in our community are staying close to home during the pandemic, there are some medical conditions they should never ignore,” said Dr. Joanna McGetrick, dermatologist at Premier Dermatology of Lake Nona. “Thanks to telehealth technology, we can schedule real-time virtual appointments for some patients, depending on their needs, through a mobile device or computer from the comfort of their home. This can be very effective in determining skin issues that need immediate attention, as well as developing a preliminary treatment plan, with an office visit scheduled for further treatment when necessary.”

A board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. McGetrick joins the staff at Premier Dermatology of Lake Nona after previously being affiliated with Premier Dermatology of Florida in St. Augustine, where she treated adult and pediatric skin disorders. Her special interests include complex medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. McGetrick received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed a combined dermatology and internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin and was also a chief resident for the dermatology department.
