Deininger will provide leadership for AdventHealth Orlando, AdventHealth for Women and AdventHealth for Children.

AdventHealth has named Rob Deininger president and CEO of AdventHealth Orlando. Deininger, who assumes the role Nov. 9, replaces Brett Spenst, who recently accepted a position with California-based Adventist Health.

Deininger has been with AdventHealth since 2010 and most recently served as president/CEO for AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City. He previously served as vice president of operations for AdventHealth Orlando.

Deininger has played a key role in AdventHealth’s nationwide COVID-19 response, providing oversight to a multidisciplinary team of leaders overseeing systemwide supply chain, human resources, clinical operations, information technology, finance, communications and marketing.

“I’m so grateful for the leadership Rob’s provided this year as we’ve navigated the impacts of COVID-19. His ability to work a problem and build consensus was instrumental in moving the organization through critical phases of the pandemic. He is a dynamic, mission-led leader and I know that his unique background will serve him well in advancing our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ in the Orlando market,” said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for AdventHealth.

“Rob is a fantastic leader with a proven track record and a relentless pursuit for operational excellence,” said David Ottati, CEO and president of AdventHealth operations in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties. “During his five years as AdventHealth Fish Memorial’s CEO, Rob’s helped grow and expand the hospital’s services, including overseeing a $100 million, 140,000-square-foot expansion on the hospital’s campus and opening an ER in Deltona. I’m so proud to see him enter this next chapter of his career and I know he will excel in his new role in the Orlando market.”

Before starting his career in health care, Deininger spent 12 years in commercial aviation. He earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in technology from Andrews University.
