Medsurant Health Promotes Key Personnel to Drive Strategy, Continued Growth

Medsurant Health, the nation’s leading Joint Commission-accredited provider of outsourced neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring (IONM) services to hospital systems and surgery centers with regional operations in Orlando, has announced key leadership appointments. These executives, who will report to Stephen L. Houff, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Medsurant Health, bring deep experience to help execute the Company’s operational business objectives in the near-term and its growth strategies for long-term advancement as the leader in IONM.

Grant Bechtold, MBA, President and Chief Strategy Officer

 
Mr. Bechtold joined Medsurant in 2010 shortly after the company launched and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. In his expanded role, Mr. Bechtold will continue to drive strategic growth of the Company, which now comprises eight wholly-owned subsidiary practices operating in 20 U.S. markets to provide hospitals and surgeons with cost-effective neuromonitoring solutions. He has nearly 20 years of industry experience spanning finance, operations and business development. Mr. Bechtold’s prior roles include positions at Volante Capital, Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Triage Consulting Group. He holds a BS from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
 

Tiffany Frye, MHA, CNIM, R.EPT, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clinical Officer

 
In her new role, Ms. Frye, who is a trained and certified neuromonitorist, will integrate operations across the Medsurant enterprise, oversee professional training of neuromonitorists, and provide clinical expertise and patient-centered focus to quality of care, Joint Commission accreditation, and process improvement initiatives. She founded Evokes, LLC, in 2001, and grew it from a two-neurotechnologist practice providing neuromonitoring for eight surgeries a week, to Medsurant’s leading division with a team of 15 neurologists and 51 neurotechnologists delivering exceptional care to patients in five states. Prior to launching Evokes, Ms. Frye developed her clinical expertise as a neurodiagnostic technologist at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and is credentialed with a Certificate in Neurophysiologic Monitoring (CNIM) and as a Registered Evoked Potential Monitoring Technologist (R.EPT). She earned her Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
