Orlando Health South Lake Hospital and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital have earned A grades from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national organization committed to healthcare quality and safety.
The Leapfrog Group assigns an ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ or ‘F’ grade to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals, every six months. Grades are based on hospital performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care. This is the fifth consecutive A grade that Orlando Health South Lake has earned from The Leapfrog Group and the second grading period that Orlando Health South Seminole has earned an A.
“Now more than ever it is important to ensure that our patients receive the safest medical care possible,” said George Ralls, MD, vice president, chief medical officer, Orlando Health. “These recognitions further demonstrate our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care throughout all of our facilities.”
