Anyone eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine can now make an appointment to receive the vaccine through OMNI Healthcare’s new automated online scheduling. Online scheduling allows the public and OMNI patients to easily book, or reschedule, their vaccine appointments at any of OMNI’s several offices and mass vaccination sites throughout Brevard County. All Florida residents age 18 and older are now eligible to receive any Covid-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration.

The premiere of the new online scheduling feature follows OMNI’s receipt of a substantial shipment of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine last week. “We’re proud to be able to offer yet another avenue for people to get their Covid-19 vaccine,” said OMNI Healthcare Chief Executive Officer and President Dr. Craig Deligdish. “OMNI’s new online scheduling makes the registration process incredibly easy and the system will even send you a confirmation and reminders,” he added.

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, the physician group has become a Central Florida leader in regards to large-scale Covid-19 testing and clinical trials. OMNI is in the midst of  doing the same for Covid-19 vaccination. The group’s mass vaccination sites in Melbourne and Palm Bay alone can vaccinate up to 3,000 patients per day.

As soon as OMNI received its shipment from the state last week, staff immediately began administering shots at its physician offices and mass vaccination clinic at its Melbourne headquarters located on the second floor of 1344 S. Apollo Boulevard. As OMNI swiftly moved through its appointments, the group decided to allow walk-ins, with no appointment necessary, through this Saturday, April 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to the new online registration system, one can also book an appointment by calling the OMNI Healthcare Covid-19 hotline at (321) 802-5515 or by emailing their name and phone number to COVID@OMNIhealthcare.com

OMNI Healthcare has also partnered with local employers and municipalities to have OMNI administer the vaccine to their employees. L3Harris Technologies was the first to join OMNI in its efforts to ensure employees and their family members who meet the state’s eligibility requirements could receive the vaccine if they wished to do so. L3Harris currently employs close to 8,000 in Central Florida and is one of the largest employers in Brevard County.
