He has participated in several events and presentations to educate the Hispanic community, and his patients in general, about the importance of prevention and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper diet and exercise to reduce the risk of conditions such as obesity, high cholesterol, and diabetes – to address the disparities in knowledge about the prevention and treatment of illnesses and subpar health outcomes within the Hispanic community that has resulted from cultural and language barriers and a lack of nutritional education. For these reasons, Dr. Fuentes highly values effective communication with his patients.
