Central Florida Urology Associates Joins Orlando Health

Expands Urology Offerings to South Seminole Hospital

 

Orlando Health is expanding its roster of urology specialists.

Michael Friedman, M.D., and Charles N. Witten, M.D., are merging their longstanding urology practice, Central Florida Urology Associates, with Orlando Health Medical Group Urology.

 Dr. Friedman specializes in both surgical and nonsurgical treatment for patients with diseases and other conditions of the male and female bladder, kidneys and reproductive system.

He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and continued his training at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, where he completed his internship in general surgery, residency in urology and served as chief resident.

Dr. Friedman is certified by the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

 Dr. Witten cares for patients with diseases and conditions of the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive system, using both surgical and nonsurgical treatments. He specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstruction, treating conditions that affect bladder control and bowel function. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine and pursued postdoctoral training at the university’s hospital, completing his internship and residency in surgery with special focus on female pelvic medicine and reconstruction surgery. Dr. Witten is certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association and Seminole County Medical Society.

 Both physicians will continue to see patients at their offices in Lake Mary and Orange City. They will perform surgical cases out of Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and the Rinehart Surgery Center, an affiliate of Orlando Health.
