Due to Covid-Induced Oxygen Supply Shortage, City of Orlando Asks for Reduced Water Consumption

Due to the high demand for oxygen to treat seriously ill Covid patients in area hospitals, the City of Orlando has asked residents to reduce use of water for a few weeks.

Oxygen is used by the Orlando Utilities Commission to remove odor and help clear water for consumption.

The increased need for oxygen at area hospitals has resulted in its short supply for other uses resulting in OUC declaring that it will only be able to receive half as much liquid oxygen as usual.
