The Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety (FSHRMPS) is pleased to announce that Orlando Health has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Patient Safety Collaboration Award. 

This prestigious award is conferred on an organization which has demonstrated excellence in promoting collaboration between departments to improve quality, increase patient safety and reduce risk at the enterprise level.  Award recipients are selected based on criteria which include a commitment to high reliability, patient safety collaboration and the principles of promoting leadership for a safe and trusted healthcare system.

The award was presented at our 41st Annual Meeting and Education Conference and was accepted by our members Joshua Montemayor, RRT, RN, BSN, MBA, CPPS, CPHRM, Director of Risk Management and Claims Prevention Corporate Risk Management (Orlando Health) and Candace Eden DNP, CPPS, FASHRM, CPHRM, CPHQ, NE-BC, Corporate Director of Patient Safety Corporate Quality & Patient Safety, (Orlando Health).

FSHRMPS is proud to be considered the leading voice in Florida on issues related to Risk Management and Patient Safety across the continuum of care, and it is our hope that Orlando Health will display this award to the public in celebration of having been selected in recognition of their commitment to a safe and trusted healthcare system.
