The Iron Pigs Orlando, SJR, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit chapter of the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club, hosts an annual fundraising event benefiting Nemours Children’s Health.
This year, the club raised $53,710 to benefit Nemours Children’s revitalized Art Therapy program.
The event took place on Saturday, April 9, but it was preceded by a “VIP Night” on Friday, April 8. Both events were hosted at the Orlando landmark Harley Davidson’s Historic Factory (the ownership groups most prestigious dealership).
The day of the event started with members of the Iron Pigs, and Nemours Children’s own James Henley, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Alliance and Acquisition, and Nelson Roque, Senior Director Facilities and Construction, now retired, riding to the hospital in Lake Nona. They then stopped in the “drop off” area and stopped to take pictures, have a coffee, rev their engines to engage the kids, and wave to the children who are patients at the hospital.
