More than 1,000 Florida Hospital employees blanket Orlando as part of annual "Day of Caring"

From Orlando to Tampa, team members will spend Friday volunteering at local nonprofits.

More than 1,000 Florida Hospital team members will be volunteering throughout the state on Friday as the organization holds its annual "Day of Caring."

From dancing with seniors to power-washing sidewalks, team members will volunteer at more than 20 nonprofits throughout Tampa Bay and Central Florida.

This year´s Orlando-area locations include:

Second Harvest Food Bank

"Day of Caring" is part of Florida Hospital's (soon to be AdventHealth) larger "Week of Caring," which kicked off Nov. 9 with a free community concert featuring three-time Grammy Award-winner Christian artist Michael W. Smith.

Guests were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support Second Harvest Food Bank. More than 600 pounds of food were collected.

Also, during "Week of Caring," team members at Florida Hospital Altamonte and Celebration Health packed more than 50,000 meals, which were donated to local organizations that fight hunger.
