Take This Survey to Help End MOC

The Practicing Physicians of America, a coalition of doctors' organizations to which AID belongs, has created a survey to gather information to provide data-backed arguments to fight the claims that the American Board of Medical Specialties uses to push their Maintenance of Certification (MOC) product.

Although in other professions, including law, accounting, and real estate, once you pass your exam and become licensed, you don't have to retake the exam, medicine is the exception. The ABMS has created a system, from which they profit handsomely, requiring doctors to maintain their certifications through repeated testing, though such testing has not been tied to improved patient care.

The system is under review, PPA is asking all doctors to take 5 minutes to complete this national survey and provide data to help stop this intrusion into your profession.

This survey has the potential to be the largest and most authoritative of its kind, but not without your help. Once you have filled this out, please share, tag, copy and email this to your doctor colleagues.
