Orlando Health Is Expanding Its Foothold In The Villages

Orlando Health is expanding its foothold in The Villages with the induction of a new medical pavilion, with goals to enhance healthcare services for residents in Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of the Orlando Health Medical Group FHV Health–Brownwood, situated near The Villages’ Brownwood community. The event was attended by distinguished figures like Wildwood Commissioner Joe Elliott and Sumter County Commissioner Jeff Bogue.

Dr. David Lew, president of FHV Health, expressed the facility's significance, stating, "The establishment of this advanced cardiac care facility signifies our long-standing commitment to excellence in medicine in our community. Through state-of-the-art equipment, we are poised to provide world-class diagnostics, treatments, and preventive care that patients of Orlando Health and this community have come to know and expect."

Orlando Health Is Expanding Its Foothold

Orlando Health is expanding its foothold in The Villages with its new medical pavilion which spans 10,000 square feet and includes 12 exam rooms, a procedure room, and five pre/post recovery rooms for patients. It offers a complete range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including Primary Care, Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, CT, Ultrasound (including Stress Echo), and Diagnostic Cath Lab.

Lance Sewell, senior vice president of Orlando Health North Central Region, highlighted the organization's promise to meet the healthcare needs of the growing developments in the region. He stated, "As evident through this impressive facility, Orlando Health, and FHV continues to cultivate a healthcare community that meets the needs of the growing developments in this region. This speaks to Orlando Health’s commitment to grow strategically and in a way that makes sense for the patients and communities we serve."

Being Rolled Out In Phases

Orlando Health is expanding its foothold with the new medical pavilion. The new pavilion is being rolled out in phases, with physicians having already begun seeing patients at the location in late June. The heart catheterization lab is scheduled to open in late July/early August, and patients are being scheduled for CT and ultrasound scans starting in early August.
